DMCA Policy

"Bean Soup" is committed to protecting the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. This policy outlines our procedures for addressing alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

We respect copyright law and will respond to notices of alleged infringement that comply with the DMCA. We have adopted a policy that provides for the immediate removal of any content that is found to have infringed on the copyright of a third party and, in appropriate circumstances, for the termination of users who are repeat infringers.

Filing a DMCA Notice

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement and is accessible on "Bean Soup", please send a written notification to our designated Copyright Agent. Your notice must include substantially the following information (please consult your legal counsel or see Section 512(c)(3) of the Copyright Act to confirm these requirements):

  2. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit "Bean Soup" to locate the material (e.g., URL of the specific page or content).
  3. Information reasonably sufficient to permit "Bean Soup" to contact the complaining party, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an electronic mail address at which the complaining party may be contacted.
  4. A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  6. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
